What is PROFHILO?
It is the first revolutionary bio-remodelling “injectable skincare” that addresses skin laxity and signs of aging through the bio-stimulation of collagen, elastin and adipocyte (fat) stem cells that are lost through skin aging.

The BAP Injection Technique
Bio Aesthetic Point (BAP) is an application technique developed by Profhilo for the lower face and neck. The 5 BAPs are specially selected areas of the face that have no large blood vessels or nerve branches. This allows for maximal diffusion of Profhilo’s hybrid HA complex, while minimising the risk of bruising and complications.
With 5 injection points on each side of the face (total of 10 points for the entire face, with 0.2ml in each point), the procedure is quick with minimal discomfort.
Topical numbing cream is applied 15 to 30 minutes before the procedure for analgesia.

What is the downtime after Profhilo injection?
Most patients are able to continue with their usual activities immediately after treatment.
As with most injectable treatments, there can be some bruising and soreness at the injection points for 1-2 days after the procedure.
A small bump at the injection site may be observed immediately after the procedure. It usually resolves in a few hours as the product diffuses and spreads under the skin.
Suggested Treatment Protocol
A full protocol is usually 2 treatments with 1 month interval.
How long does the effects last?
It is recommended to repeat the treatment protocol after 6-9 months for maintenance. Results may vary according to the individual’s lifestyle and level of aging.
Are there any side effects?
Profhilo is a pure hyaluronic acid, without any chemical cross-linking compounds. It is bio-compatible and broken down by our body completely. Compared to other bio-stimulating dermal fillers, it has little to no risks of causing inflammatory granulomas.
Comparison with Fillers, Skin boosters & Rejuran Healer
Profhilo is neither a dermal filler or skin booster treatment. It is a bioremodelling skin treatment that hydrates and stimulates collagen and elastin formation in the skin.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Botox®, dermal fillers, Thermage®, Ultherapy®, HIFU and lasers can be performed in combination with Profhilo. It is best to consult your doctor to discuss which treatment should be performed first to optimise your treatment results.
